Barbara Ward (Faye) Nash Obituary
NASH Barbara Ward (Faye) Nash, 70, of Orange Park, Florida, died on February 20, 2014 at Haven Hospice Crusted Care Center surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher, she fought the good fight against lung cancer since 2009. She was born April 18, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee, the only daughter of Mr. And Mrs. William Ward both deceased. Barbara attended Cohn High School in Nashville. After graduation, attended Belmont College in Nashville graduating in 1966. She began teaching school in Nashville. Barbara met and married her husband, Roger Nash of Charleston, Kentucky on October 17, 1970. They started a family and moved to Orange Park, FL in 1978, following Roger's work. She resumed her teaching career in Clay County School District in 1987, teaching at Doctors Inlet Elementary, Lake Asbury Elementary, and Tynes Elementary, until retiring in 2010 with 23 years of dedicated service. Barbara was a devoted teacher, an when asked what she missed most about teaching, her reply was always, The Children. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Roger Nash; three children, Jennifer Nash of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Jeffrey Nash and his wife Jenny of Jacksonville, FL, and Jonathan Nash of Tallahassee, FL; five grandchildren, Nicholas and Ashlynn of Orange Park, FL, Emma and Laura of Jacksonville, FL, and Brenna of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; three brothers, William Ward of Nashville, TN, Pete Ward (Deceased), and Ronnie Ward of Nashville, TN, many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Arrangements by JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL. A memorial service to honor Barbara's memory will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 2 PM at St Giles Presbyterian Church in Orange Park, FL. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials in Barbara's name be made to Haven Hospice or the .
