Dorothy A. Carr Obituary
CARR Dorothy A. Carr, 94, a Jacksonville native passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014. She was born October 29, 1919 to Herbert and Marion Isaac. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Herman Carr as well as her sister Lois Gefen. She is survived by her two daughters, Marion Abramson (Sheldon) and Claire Ghelerter, her sister, Faye Buchman (Sam), her six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Her grandchildren Scott Abramson, Ron Abramson (Wendy), Holly Dill, Jeff Ghelerter (Rony), Andy Gherleter, and Jill Ghelerter (Kim) as well as 5 great grandchildren. She was also survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and many dear friends. Thank you to her wonderful caregivers at River Garden. Dorothy was a life-long member of Congregation Ahavath Chesed. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends. Dorothy's real love and passion in life was her family. A graveside service will be 2:30 PM on Monday March 31st at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville with Rabbi Cohen officiating.
