Martha Jean Harris Obituary
HARRIS On the morning of March 29, 2014, Martha Jean Harris passed away peacefully at the age of 84, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was at her home in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by her family. Martha Jean devoted her life to her family. Her kindness, caring, love and courage inspired all who knew her. Martha Jean is survived by three sisters: Sarah Ann Bertoch of Crystal River, Florida; Mary Lena Moreno of Talladega, Alabama; Era Lucille Fountain of Palm Coast, Florida; and by seven children: Nancy Ann Rodriguez of Barnesville, Georgia; Gloria Dean Lee of Jacksonville, Florida; James Edward Lee of Jacksonville, FL; Martha Jeanette Davis of Orange Park, Florida; John Michael Lee of Jacksonville, Florida; Lena Denise Reynolds of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and Tracy Allen Lee of Jacksonville, Florida. Martha is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Roux Harris; her brother Johnny Carl Colado, and her daughter, Sandra Jo Mienke. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a funeral service on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org); or Haven Hospice (havenhospice.org).
