1914 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
WEINBERG Jean M. Weinberg passed away on April 1, 2014. Mrs. Weinberg was born in Savannah, GA and lived most of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She worked in retail for many years and was an active volunteer in the community and in Jewish organizations. She was Past President of Hadassah, a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center, National Council of Jewish Women and River Garden s Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Fannie Shatkowsky, her husband Leanard of 54 years and her daughter Toby Gruber. A sweet, loving mother and devoted grandmother, Mrs. Weinberg is survived by two sons, Peter S. Weinberg, Edward L. Weinberg; two daughters, Marilyn A. Feldstein (Charles) and Sandra R. Pollan; four grandchildren, Rebekah and Jakob Pollan; David and Gary Gruber. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:30 am in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery with Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family & Community Services, Jacksonville Jewish Center, River Garden Hebrew Home or Hadassah.
