Sonia Dolly Nolan

Obituary Condolences

NOLAN Heaven is rejoicing with the addition it got today as Sonia Dolly Nolan, an amazing mother, has earned her angel wings and has gone to be with our Lord. She was as good as goodness is, her acts and all her words were always kind. When we look back at the blessings in our lives, we realize they can all be traced back to her. Sonia was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, James John Joseph Nolan, who passed away in 2005. Sonia was a Pennsylvania native and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1967. Sonia was a devoted wife and mother who lovingly raised nine children. She was an incredible person who loved spending time with her family. Sonia was an extraordinary homemaker and loved getting all of her loved ones together to share memories and enjoy family meals together. She always enjoyed going on cruise vacations with her loving husband and bragging about her nineteen grandchildren. Sonia was 86 years old and is survived by her nine children: James (Mary) Nolan, Joe (Memorie) Nolan, John (Margie) Nolan, Juanita (Thom) Hamilton, Jeff (Cathy) Nolan, Judy (James) Rifici, Jay (Peri) Nolan, Jacklyn (Brett) Pruitt, Jerry (Jacque) Nolan, nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A special heartfelt Thank You to all of the nurses and caregivers that have taken such wonderful care of our mother for the last 18 months. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 7, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
