John Henry Knisley Obituary
KNISLEY John Henry Knisley, 76, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. He was born May 21, 1937, in Jamestown, Ohio, to the late Russell & Lillie (Harbage) Knisley. John was a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 40 years of service as an air traffic controller, teacher, supervisor, and president of both Washington Consultants Group and the Federal Managers Association, Chapter 160. John was a member of Abundant Love Church of Jacksonville. He and Carolyn toured as part of a demo round dancing team and had many friends. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carolyn; daughters, Vicki Dunn (Bruce), Penny Albarado (Butch), Tammy Donker (Greg), all of Jacksonville; brother, Wilbur Knisley of Circleville, Ohio; sisters, Joyce Johnson (Owen), Gladys Marhoover, Marie Matson, all of Ohio; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jarrod, Chris, Shaun, Jennifer, Kayla, Brett; 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 10:30AM, at Oceanway Assembly of God, 12240 Sago Avenue West, with Pastor Mike Thorpe officiating, assisted by Rev. Danny Baggett and Rev. Ken Barney. Interment with military honors will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
