Judith Lee "Judy" Tims Obituary
TIMS Judith Lee Judy Tims, 70, of Orange Park, Florida passed away Friday morning, May 2, 2014 at the Haven Hospice of Orange Park, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 24, 1943 in Weir, Kansas, the daughter of Reola and Tony Scott. She was raised and received her education in Pittsburg, Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1961. She attended Kansas State Teachers College and worked as an accountant at Harvest Brand Industries in Pittsburg, Kansas. Judy was united in marriage to Carlton Carl Tims on September 17, 1966. Together they lived in Pittsburg, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri, and St. Louis, Missouri before settling in Florida. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2006. She enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, playing bridge, Face booking and playing Words with Friends with her high school classmates, weekend trips to the beach, and spending time with the friends and family that loved her so much. Survivors include her daughter Amanda Michelle Mandy Rautio and her husband Mike of Middleburg, Florida. She was Nonny to her three grandchildren Mallory Susan, Nicholas Michael, and Brennon Jacob Rautio, who loved her dearly. Additional survivors include her sisters-in-law Susie Tims and Babs Tims of Pittsburg, Kansas, brother-in-law Ronnie Tims of Arma, Kansas and his wife Mary Ann. She also left behind several nieces and nephews Catherine Rouse and Jim Kelly of St. Louis, Missouri, Ruth Elmer of Aurora, Colorado, Dan Kelly of San Diego, California, Mitzi Cronister of Arma, Kansas and Jessica Seeliger of Wellington, Kansas, along with their spouses and children. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tony Scott, her sister Sandra Kelly and her nephew Mike Kelly. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 11 AM in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Family and friends will visit from 10 until 11 AM prior to the service. A celebration of Judy s life will take place this summer in her hometown of Pittsburg, Kansas.
