Elizabeth Joy Adams Obituary
Video Memory
ADAMS Elizabeth Joy Adams, born July 19, 2013, went suddenly to be with Jesus on May 10, 2014. Elizabeth had Trisomy 18, a chromosomal condition wrongly considered by many as incompatible with life. Expected not to survive birth, Elizabeth showed the world, for 9.5 beautiful months, that babies born with this condition are full of life and love. Her cheeky smile, bright blue eyes, and long eyelashes captivated all who saw her. The courage and feisty determination that she displayed during heart surgery made an enormous impact all over the world. Elizabeth had a Facebook page with over 10,000 followers, and her journey helped others to see the beauty in choosing life for babies diagnosed with a trisomy condition. Elizabeth Joy is survived by her parents, Travis and Kelly Adams, 5 siblings, Matthew, Emma, Jonathan, William and Adeline Grace, maternal grandparents, Bob and Cathy Sacks, paternal grandmother, Michael Ann Adams, many aunts, uncles, cousins and her faithful kitty cat, Jack. Thank you to our loving nurses and doctors at Wolfson Children's Hospital, the UF Pediatric Cardiology Clinic, Community Hospice PedsCare, her loving nurse, Dale Robinson, and her runner, Dawn Pizio. A little flower lent not given to bud on Earth and bloom in Heaven. A celebration of the Joy of Elizabeth will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15th in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach with Pastor Dan Clay officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (TODAY) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Elizabeth Joy to Little Flowers Project http://littleflowerprojects.org or Community PedsCare.
