Robert Lane "Bobby" Hancock Obituary
HANCOCK Robert L. Bobby Lane Hancock, 71, of Jacksonville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka following a brief illness. He was a native of Plant City, Florida and had retired as an electrician from Anchor Glass & Container Co. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda Hancock, his son Dan (Paige), grandchildren Jack & Gracie, his nephew who he loved as a son, Matthew Leonard (Shelly) and their children, Camdyn and Aidan who he considered as his grandchildren also. He was a brother to Brenda's sisters, Sheila Leonard & Bonnie Orton. He is also survived by 3 sisters Dorothy Williamson, Linda Laricy, and Kathy Rayburn. He was pre-deceased by his brother James and sister Mary Lou. Bobby loved Gator football, fishing and spending time with his family and many friends. Most of all, Bobby will be remembered for his love of Brenda and all his family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at New Grace Church, 5804 US Highway 17, in Fleming Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to New Grace Church Youth Building Fund, 5804 US Hwy 17, Orange Park, FL 32003.
