EARSEL BUTCH GOFF Obituary
GOFF EARSEL BUTCH GOFF age 72 - 10/17/1941 - 6/1/2014 Butch was the son of late Cleo and Lucille Goff, brother to deceased Julia E. Wheeler and Peggy Chitty. Butch graduated from Andrew Jackson High School class of 1959. Butch was an Electrical Lineman for Local Union #177 and later Local 222. He was first and always a lineman at heart. Butch decided to begin his own Outside Electrical Company, Heart Utilities Inc. and retired from that bought a farm which didn't take too long to realize that wasn't him. Moved back to Jacksonville and became partners with Nephew Chuck and great friend Robert at C&C Powerline, Inc. Butch was one of those people who if you knew him you couldn't help but like him for life. His interests were a good nap (first and foremost) fishing, golf, and racing race cars and don't forget a good joke. Butch leaves behind wife and soul mate Gail, twin daughters Debbie and Diane, Booger (which he named) he's faithful wheelchair buddy. Three grandsons Bubba, Corey, Dale, and Jonathan who we treated like grandson and two Great Granddaughters. Nieces and Nephews (Chitty family and Wheeler family) I know that Butch would like to give a shout out to his high school buddies, golf buddies and neighbors and let them know he is a good place now and no more pain. To Allan, keep Gail happy with your repairs and remodeling and being there always when we needed you. Until we meet again, Butch. Services will be held 11 am with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service Saturday, June 7th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville Beach. The family requests that donation be made to the Death Benefit Fund at IBEW Local #177. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
