Brian Alan Tatum Obituary
TATUM Brian Alan Tatum, 55, was born to Robert and Norma Tatum, Sr. on June 16, 1959 at St. Luke s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL and passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Hadlow Center for Caring, Jacksonville. He was a graduate of the Catholic school system; Holy Rosary Elementary in 1973 and Bishop Kenny High School in 1977. Brian worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) from 1978 until his retirement in 2008. In 2008, he began his second career as a full time care giver for his parents until his death. He loved sports, playing soccer for the Bishop Kenny Crusaders and was an avid sports fan and fanatic. He loved football, the Jaguars but especially the Florida Gators. Brian is survived by his parents, Robert and Norma Tatum and his brothers, Rob Tatum, Jr. (Linda) and Rev. Dale Tatum (Jo Anne). He was a man of faith and had a special love for the Blessed Mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26th at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., Jax., FL 32207 with Father Frederick Parke, Celebrant. The Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass. A reception in Kohl s Hall will immediately follow Mass. All are invited to help celebrate Brian s Life!
