GARCEAU Joseph Richard Garceau, 84, passed away on July 16, 2014 in Orange Park, Florida. Joseph was born March 8, 1930 to John and Ella (Edwards) Garceau who preceded him in death. On July 1, 1950 he married Pauline Alice Martel. Born and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, following high school he served 24 years in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, serving as a Supply Systems Specialist, stationed in England, Greece, Thailand and numerous other duty stations, before retiring in Satellite Beach, FL. He later moved his family to Jacksonville after becoming a civil servant at NAS Jacksonville until his second retirement as a Supervisory Computer Specialist from NAS Cecil Field in 1998. After retiring once again his free time was spent as a voracious reader in between frequent trips to Las Vegas. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Pauline; three children, Ann (George) Linton of St. Johns, Rick (Karen) Garceau of Gainesville, VA., and Susan (Jeff) Willadsen of Fleming Island; 9 grandchildren, Brian, Adam, Andrew, Michele, Amanda, Richard, Brandon, Dimitry and Indira; 6 great-grandchildren Joseph, Robert, Lucy, Liam, Allie and Logan. Graveside services for Joseph Garceau will be held 9:30AM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Magnolia Cemetery 1040 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements by Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL.
