Charlotte Ann Rettinger Obituary
RETTINGER Charlotte Ann Rettinger, 74, passed away suddenly on August 5, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 1, 1940 she lived in Jacksonville since 1981. She was a graduate of St. Raphael s Catholic High School and Robert Morris Junior College in Pittsburgh and worked in the banking field and at Jacksonville University until becoming a realtor in Jacksonville. She led a full and wonderful life and enjoyed reading, cooking, musicals and traveling with her family throughout the United States and Europe. Her first love was her family and her support, laughter, love of music and dancing and her open welcome to all will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James J. Rettinger; daughter, Charlene Rettinger Adkins (Guy) of Jacksonville; sons, James C. Rettinger (Cheryl) of Loveland, OH and Gary Rettinger of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Duncan Adkins, Spencer Adkins, Jared Rettinger and Ava Rettinger; brothers, Charles Bloxsom and Jerry Bloxsom (Randi) of Pittsburgh; sister in law, Betty Rettinger of Washtucna, WA and nieces, Amanda Bloxsom of Pittsburgh, Victoria Rettinger Walker of Salem, OR and nephew, Michael Rettinger of Washtucna, WA. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 3-6pm on Sunday August 10th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Monday August 11th in St. Joseph s Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude s Children s Hospital.
