HORNE Hendley Foxworth Horne, III (known to his family and friends as Pete Horne) passed away suddenly after a brief illness on October 29, 2010 at Baptist South Hospital. He was born July 11, 1944 in Jacksonville, FL to Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Horne, Jr. (both deceased) and lived his entire life here except when he was in the US Army and did a tour of duty in Germany. He attended Alfred I Dupont High School from 7th through 12th grade, graduating in 1962. Upon graduating High School he attended Tulane University and then Jacksonville University. He is survived by his sister, Rose H. Zgola of Jacksonville, FL and brother, Mark W. Horne of Jersey City, NJ, and two nieces, a nephew, and two great-nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 11th in Church of Our Savior, 12236 Mandarin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223 followed by a reception in the Great Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Altar Guild at Church of Our Savior for an Advent Wreath, Community Hospice of NE Florida, or the .
