ROBERTS Services for Jennifer Roberts, 49, of West Columbia, SC will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Russell Peek and Rev. Elford Roof. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, SC. Mrs. Roberts died Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Originally of Florida, she was the daughter of Gertrude Crough and the late James Crough. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend to all who knew her. She spent 8 years as a Navy wife gracefully supporting her husband and young family. Later she volunteered with girl scouts, youth t-ball, PTA, and Pine View Dixie Youth Baseball. Jennifer was known for her love of children, especially her two young grandsons who so blessed her life. A woman who befriended everyone she met, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving in addition to her mother, Trudy Crough of West Columbia, SC; her husband of 30 years, Mike Roberts of West Columbia, SC; daughters, Michele Roberts-Bauer and her husband, Scott of St. Paul, MN, and Elyse Kinard and her husband, Arron of Lexington, SC; son, Matthew Roberts of West Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Quentin and Walker Kinard of Lexington, SC; mother-in-law and father-in-law Betty and Charles Roberts of Orange Park, FL; brother and sister-in-law Wally and Marie Roberts and niece Bailey Roberts of Orange Park, FL; and dear friend Steven C.
