GEORGE KRAMER Obituary
KRAMER George L. Kramer passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20 surrounded by his family. George lived here locally for most of his life and graduated from The Bolles School in 1951. George lettered in four sports while at Bolles. He was the starting quarterback and was nicknamed Big George while playing there. He went on to play at Florida State and then transferred to Florida. George then joined the Army and was a Korean War veteran. George was national fleet sales with B.F. Goodrich and then sales manager with J.C. Renfroe and Southern Pipe & Supply. He was the purchasing agent for International Pipe and Ceramics, Houdaille Duval Wright and then finished his career and retired with Florida State College. George also was a partner and helped his son Mark with the Pit Stop Car Wash chain for over 25 years. His hobbies were fishing and hunting and he loved the outdoors. He is survived by his two sons George & Mark, daughter in-laws Sarita & Gayle, grandchildren Chelsea, Christa, Lauren & Ryan, and great grandchild Kyla. George is also survived by his longtime love and companion Patricia Merwin. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 8/24/11 at 10 A.M. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road. The cemetery request guest to arrive at 9:50 A.M. Immediately following the funeral a reception will be at the Hilton Garden Inn Airport at 13503 Ranch Road.
