Obituary Condolences

GRANT Hiram Jordan (Buck) Grant, III, passed away on December 6, 2011 after a long struggle with COPD. HE was born on November 20, 1936 in Jacksonville and was the adopted son of the late Harold J. and Minnie A. Grant. He attended Landon High School. Buck was his mother's caregiver until her death. He then moved to the Florida Christian Apartments and was very active in the well being of the residents. He served as president for a term and helped make changes that were beneficial to everyone. He will be missed for his will, ability and knowledge to get resources that helped make life better for everyone. Buck is survived by 2 sisters: Ann G. (Donald) Rosenberry and Leatrice J. Grant; nieces Ann Marie (David) Pauly, Debra J. Scott, Linda E. Joseph and Cynthia D. (Jim) Wells; 2 Great Nephews, 3 Great Nieces and 3 Great-great nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the chapel of Florida Christian Apartments, 1115 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
