DENNIS Mr. John Thomas Dennis, Jr., age 59, passed away peacefully February 4, 2012. He was a native of Jacksonville, FL, where he received his early education in local schools of Duval County, graduating from William M. Raines Senior High School - Class of 1970. Furthering his education, he earned an AS degree in Business from FCCJ and his B.S. degree in Business Adm. from U.N. F. Mr. Dennis was a faithful member at All People International Church. He was employed with FSCJ as a Disabled Student Specialist with 10 years of dedicated service. Other affiliations include a member of his church band also a former member of Cracked Mirror Band. His father, sister, Mrs. Gloria Dean Lundy; grandson, Eric Smith predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Angela Jefferson Dennis; daughters, Mses. Antoinette White, Katrina Smith and Jene' Carter (Bob); 5 grandchildren; 1 great grand; mother, Mrs. Bernice Dennis; siblings, Alvin Dennis and Mrs. Bernice L. Skrine (Darryl); mother-in-law, Mrs. Pauline Chase; brother-in-law, William Jefferson (Cheryl); sisters-in-law, Mrs. Thomasina Lee (Michael) and Ms. Nathalie Chase; devoted friend, Harold Scott; a number of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at his church, with Bishop Arthur T. Jones, Sr. Pastor, officiating. Mr. Dennis will rest in the mortuary for visitation TODAY from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and at the church Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service. Memorialization will be by cremation. Friends will assemble at the church under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. 904-766-9671.
