Frederick Ayers Obituary
AYERS Frederick Ron Ayers, 73, went home in peace to our Heavenly Father on February 28, 2012 at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. Ron joined the Navy in 1956 and severed his tours on many battleships as a Gunners mate. Although he loved the Navy he retired after 20 plus years of service that included a tour in Vietnam. Following his military service, Ron worked as a mechanic with VIP Auto Sales in Jacksonville for 28 years. Racing and working on cars was his passion as well as spending time with his grandchildren and family. Ron is preceded in death by his son Timothy, four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his only child Lisa Dunn, her husband Josh of Mississippi and her three children Brittnie, Taylor and Asher. He is also survived by his long time girlfriend Dottie Behney of Callahan and her family; Ted & Donna, Teddy, Christopher, Troy & Mary and their son Ryan and many other family members and friends. Many thanks to the employees at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida and others that helped assist in his care. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 2, 2012 with full military honors at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville.
