DELGADO Jorge Adalberto Delgado (Ramos) passed away May 20, 2012 at St. Vincent s Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jorge was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on June 20, 1938 the son of the late D maso Delgado and Ramona Ramos. Jorge was a US Navy Veteran, honorably discharged June 3, 1963. After his naval service, Jorge attended FJC & Jones Business College. He was employed by Florida Tackle & Gun Club, Mac Paper Company and retired from Union Camp Chemicals in 1999 after 20 years of services. Jorge leaves behind his dearly loved wife of 53 years, Barbara Jones Delgado; his cherished children - Terri (Nathaniel) Roulhac, Dawn (Richard) Knight, Xiomara Delgado-Harris, Jorge D. Delgado (Najia), and Nigelle Delgado; grandchildren, Terresa Roulhac, Omar Roulhac, Nina Leggett (Thomas), and Crystal McCraw (Shawn), Briahn and Lauren Knight, Roderick (Akiko), Adrienne, Taylor and McKenzie Harris, Liccie, Isabella, Cecilia, and Jorge Delgado and Khahlid, Ali, and Samir Seals; and great grandchildren Kaiji and Aila Harris, Savion Hall, Amara Roulhac, and Shawn Jr., Antonio and Alana McCraw. His beloved aunts Tia Borinquen Aponte (who with his late Abuelita Gregoria Aponte raised him and his siblings after his parents death), Tia Gladys Aponte (Hipolito) and Tia Virginia Cintr n; dearly loved brothers Jos D. Delgado-Ramos and Edwin R. Delgado-Ramos (Irma); nieces Thelma Delgado Pedrogo and Grecia Delgado Pedrogo; grandnieces Tatiana and Kiara Rivera, Celiane Delgado and grandnephew Edwin Delgado. Jorge also leaves a host of family and friends, especially, Earl Bobby Williams (Josephine), Mr. & Mrs. James Brightman, Mr. & Mrs. Sam Hamilton, The Eason Family, and Jimmy. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Drs. Seabury Stoneburner (and his staff), John Purcell, Dana Harris, Ricardo Izurieta, Harish Bhaskar, and Ravi Yarlagadda; the staff at St. Vincent s Medical Center, especially Dr. Augustin for their care and spiritual support of our loved one. Jorge enjoyed family gatherings, planting, & watching things grow. Jorge attended St. Pius V and Church of the Crucifixion Catholic Churches. The Celebration of the Mass will be held 11:00, Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 2110 Blue Avenue, Rev. Fr. Chukwudi O. Callistus Onwere, Pastor. The visitation will start at 9:30am; the recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10am. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction and care of Q. L.
