PRICE Dorothy Ellen Price, age 93, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Great Grandmother was called home on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Jacksonville, FL. Dorothy was born June 18, 1918, in Terre Haute, IN, to Thomas and Marie Jones. She was employed by the Vigo County Public School System for 25 years and spent her retirement years in Hurley Manor in Jacksonville, FL, and also at Avante of Jacksonville Beach among family and many wonderful friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Price; son, Robert James Price; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Price; grandson, Brian Price; and great grandson, Joshua Price; sisters, Helen Jones and Marjorie Parsley; and brothers, Arthur Jones and Leon Duby. Survivors include two sons, Arthur Thomas Price (wife Barbara), Prattville, AL , and Ronald Lee Price (wife Pat), Philadelphia, PA; one daughter, Katherine Ellen Boice (husband Patrick), Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Kay Dawn Price, St. Augustine, FL; eight grandchildren, Jeff Price, Roxanne Ray, Guy Price, Polly Mitchell, Todd and Troy Price, and Christopher and Jared Boice; eleven great grandchildren, Tyler and Tiffany Price, Tina Mazzullo, Brandie Sutton, Kassie Foster, Robby, Ashly, and Nicholas Price, Samantha Mitchell, and Ryan and Adam Price; four great-great grandchildren, Landen Owens, Haden Mazzullo, Riley Shugart, and Price Foster (coming soon!); sisters, Mary Bickel, Ilene Jones, Merle Ellinger, and Gayla Crumm. A Prayer Vigil will be held in Terre Haute, IN, at DeBaun Funeral Home, 85 E. Springhill Dr., on Saturday, May 26th, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend and come to the reception immediately following the graveside service at the Holiday Inn. The family is requesting anyone wishing to send flowers, instead, consider a donation, in Dorothy's name, to Community Hospice of NE FL, McGraw Center, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or communityhospice.com.
