HERBERT STROHMAN Obituary
STROHMAN Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com Herbert B. Strohman, 91, of St. Petersburg and Beverly Hills, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, MD on November 6, 1920 he came to St. Petersburg in 1955. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre as an Aviation Machinist aboard an aircraft carrier, The USS Barnes. He was a carpenter and furniture craftsman. Herbert leaves two children: Carole McLeod, of St. Petersburg and Barry Strohman MD, of Jacksonville; five grandchildren: Marli Lutz, of Coral Gables, Alan McLeod II, of St. Petersburg, Tiffany Gail Cellon, of Gainesville, Jeffrey Strohman, of Virginia, and Tiffany Ann Burfield, Virginia; 6 great-grandchildren, Alan III, Tori, Cody, Garrett, Hanna and Jack; 1 great great granddaughter, Malorie and great niece, Mari Blaquiere. The family wishes to thank his devoted caregiver MaryAnn Wells and the dedicated staff of Grand Villa. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 at 1pm until service time at 2pm at Anderson McQueen, 7820 38th Ave. N. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Thursday, May 31st at 1pm. Family prefers donations made in his name to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville FL, 32256.
