Obituary Condolences

WEEKS 1ST Sgt. James Edward Weeks, Sr., 94, went to heaven on December 1, 2012. He was born Dec. 5, 1917 in Jacksonville Fl and spent most of his life here. Mr. Weeks was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, June Richardson, their daughter, Patricia Henderson, his two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his four children; Mrs. Marian Parker, and husband Ron., Mrs. Jacqueline Hodgson and husband Howell, James E. Weeks Jr., wife Jane., and Mrs. Deborah Wiggins, and husband Jeffrey. Grandpa Weeks had 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. After graduating from St. Paul s Catholic High School in 1935, he joined the Army, two years later he enlisted into the Marine Corp. He server in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. As a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, James retired from the Marines in 1963 but remained in the Reserves at Camp Blanding until 1965. In addition to his extensive time with the military, he was employed by the Jacksonville Shipyards for over a decade. Jack Weeks was an avid golfer and a member of St. Joseph s Catholic Church for 35 years. Graveside service will be held December 8, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph s Catholic Cemetery, 4214 Loretto Road with Rev Fr. Daniel Cody officiating.
