I worked for Doc as a young lawyer right out of law school and throughout my tenure as an Assistant State Attorney. Doc was my boss, my mentor and friend. I am a better person and lawyer for having had the privilege of working with and knowing Doc. My thoughts and prayers to Severia and the family.
I will miss you.

Doc was the most humble public servant I had ever met. A sincere Christian, and a True Southern Gentleman.
Helpful. Caring. Loyal. Dependable. Honest. Humble. Sincere. Genuine. Selfless.
He treasured and respected ALL Citizens of his beloved Nassau County.
Much Love to Cervera, Katie, Kari and Christina.

We will miss a good longtime friend. The memories of times spent together will last forever. Doc & his loving wife opened their hearts and home to our family when we moved to Fernandina in 1981 and their children and ours spent many playful hours together. Our love and prayers are with you.
