HISOIRE LCDR Dennis P. Hisoire, Sr., Ret USN, 73, of Green Cove Springs, FL., passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Dennis was born September 12, 1939, in the beautiful New England town of Worcester, Massachusetts, to Wilfred and Evelyn Hisoire. After graduating from Leicester High School, Dennis joined the Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman. During his time in the Navy, he graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelors Degree in Science Health Care and was commissioned as an officer, eventually attaining the position of Hospital Administrator before retiring with 30 years of service. Dennis' second retirement was from the State of Florida after 13 years as a supervisor with the Florida Department of Children and Families. Dennis is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Patricia; his son, Dennis, Jr.; his brothers, Wilfred and Robert; and his sister, Marion Sawyer. He is survived by his son, Richard Hisoire; his daughter, Sharon Lourcey; his son-in-law who he loved as a son, Jeffry Lourcey; his grandchildren Matthew Brinley (fiance Savannah DeWitt), Megan Brinley and Courtney Lourcey; his sisters Ruth Youmans and Beverly Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. To Dennis, there was no such thing as a stranger, just a friend he had not met yet. He was a man of faith and was a parishioner of St. Luke's Catholic Church. He was a patriot who proudly served his country. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a great friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mayo Hospital Transplant Dept., Wounded Warriors Project and Haven Hospice in honor of Dennis Hisoire, Sr. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday (February 6, 2013) at Russell Baptist Church with Rev.
