Obituary Condolences

EVERETT Charles Elwin Everett, 81, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at McGraw Community Hospice from a lengthy illness. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at Terry Parker Baptist Church at 11:00AM. Family visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall prior to the service at 10:00AM. Pastor Howard Goodman of Terry Parker Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be at a later date at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Charles was born in Madison, TN on December 6, 1931. He graduated from East Nashville High School followed by service in the United States Air Force. Charles graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. Charles married Beverly Gerregano on June 6, 1953; they were married 60 years. Charles and Beverly met and began dating in high school. They have been long time members of Terry Parker Baptist Church. Charles worked in information systems management for UNIVAC and Memorial Hospital. His family was the great pride and joy of his life. He enjoyed working with plants and flowers. After his retirement he earned his master gardener certification and enjoyed sharing his love of plants and flowers with others. His wife Beverly Everett, daughters Elise Polito (Dr. Matthew Polito), Jacksonville and Beth Schmidt (Dr. Raymond Schmidt) Jefferson City, MO, and son, Captain Win Everett, USN Ret. (Karen Bourque Everett), Leonardtown, MD survives Charles. He especially loved his five grandchildren, Courtney Stevens, Sarah Schmidt, Alex Everett, Raymond Schmidt, and Jesse Everett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Terry Parker Baptist Church or Northeast Florida Community Hospice Foundation.Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills.
