JAMES BAAB

BAAB James Jacob Baab, 83, went to be with the Lord April 7, 2013. A Korean War veteran, James proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1947-52, and was a member of the 526 Army Corp of Engineers. He was preceded in death, by his parents, Jacob and Martha (Wiseman) Baab; brothers, George, William, Harry, Glenn and John ,and sister, Gay. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Violet (Karkosky); son James Jr. (Patricia) and daughter Dena; grandchildren, Amanda Baab, Shelli (C. J. ) Morris, Chelsea Baab, and Kaley (Nick) Hall. He was also a very proud great-grandfather of Rylee Marie Morris, who adored her Papa. James is also survived by brother, Nick; sister, Bonnie, several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends. James was a longtime member of Lakeside Church of Christ in Orange Park and was blessed with a loving church family. He was retired from RingPower Corporation as a Demonstration Operator, after working all his life in the construction industry. James was very proud of his connection with RingPower and Caterpillar Equipment. He also loved the outdoors, working in his yard, and his two dogs, Jake and Emily. A memorial service will be held to remember James Monday, April 15, 2013 at 3 pm at Lakeside Church of Christ, 2539 Moody Avenue, Orange Park, FL. Family and friends are invited.
