Obituary Condolences

NORDSIEK Dorothy M. Nordsiek, 101, wife of the late Dr. Paul K. Nordsiek, passed away September 30, 2013. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, daughter of the late Rev. A.E. and Clara B. (Burton) Fess. A graduate of Carthage College, Dorothy met her future husband while working in the Illinois Synod office. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Mark s Lutheran Church where she was active in numerous church groups and activities, assisting her husband, Paul, with his ministerial duties. Surviving are a son, Gerald (Kathy) Nordsiek, a daughter, Janet Hilton of Ridgeville, SC, five grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren and one great- great grandchild, a sister- in- law, Helen B. Fess, an Australian daughter, Judy Lipman, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Owen B. Fess, Bruce E. Fess and John Jack D. Fess. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2 P.M Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church, 7860 Southside Blvd, with Rev. George L. Johnson officiating.
