James Brisco Dixon Obituary
DIXON James Brisco Dixon a resident of the north side of Jacksonville, passed November 7, 2013. He was a member of Greater Grant Memorial A.M.E. Church, 5533 Gilchrist Road, Rev. Tan Moss, Senior Pastor, where he had served as a former church Treasurer. Also, he was a 20 year U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired U.S. Postal Worker. Mr. Dixon served his community in many areas where he was a member of The Masonic family: Blue Lodge Oakland # 65, Tillman Valentine Lodge # 22, and was past Potentate of Rabia Temple # 8. Mr. Dixon is survived by a devoted family that includes son: Ronald Bryan; brother: Forrest Dixon (Beatrice); nephew: Martin Agbugui; dear friend: Raye Gary; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Dixon may be viewed Today at Carthage Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at his church and the interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
