Thomas H. Cannon Sr. Obituary
CANNON Thomas H. Cannon, Sr., 70, of Ft. White, FL, was born December 25, 1942 in Jacksonville, FL and was called home to the Lord on December 22, 2013, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Tom proudly served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam Conflict (1967-1968). He was awarded two Bronze Stars with Valor and a Purple Heart for his gallant actions in combat. After bravely serving his country, Tom worked for Maxwell House Inc. for 30 years. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Joyce Cannon of Ft. White, FL, and Angela Gonzalez White and her husband Cleve White of Langley Air Force Base, VA and six grandsons Cory, Cody, and Conner Cannon of Fort White, FL, and James, Josh, and Jonathan NotMe White of Langley AFB, VA and two granddaughters, Ona and Amanda-Lou Weaver of Ft. White, FL. Tom was best known for his caring and loving nature and knew no strangers. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 Noon in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 (904)355-9545, with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating. Interment will follow in Ferreira Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
