Patricia Kyte Davitt Obituary
DAVITT A Mass in celebration for the life of Patricia Kyte Davitt, 80, will be held 10:30AM Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL with Father James R. Boddie, Jr. Officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30PM with military honors. Patricia was born on August 16, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, New York. She went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her family. Patricia served her country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jack Davitt; three sons, Jack Davitt, Jr. And his wife Kathy, Tom Davitt and Dave Davitt; two daughters, Sherry Collins and her husband John and Carol Zimmer and her husband Boyd; six grandchildren, Becky, Tyler, Jessica, Joseph, Matthew and Hunter; four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Emma, Shelby and Grace, and many other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 5PM-7PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL. Patricia will be remembered as a very artistic, creative, talented woman who enjoyed quilting, oil painting and crafts. Patricia touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. The family requests memorials in Patricia's name be made to Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park, FL.
