Thomas David Farley Obituary
FARLEY Thomas David Farley, 62, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born May 8, 1951 in Sutton, West Virginia to the late Charles & Ada Farley. Tom was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and retired from Rayonier in Fernandina Beach. Tom was a devoted family man and loved gardening and wood working. He had lived in Yulee for the past 40+ years where he settled after leaving the Army. Tom is predeceased by his brother, Richard Farley. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Peck Farley; son, Paul Farley; daughter, Laura Peacock; brothers, John Farley (Fran), Bob Farley (Judy), Harry Farley and Bill Farley; sisters, Esther Crabtree (Delbert), Helen Boggs (Clayton) and Sue Shefer (Al); grandchildren, Kharisma Farley and Paul Farley II; mother in law, Audrey Babcock and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20th from 6:00pm-7:30pm at First Baptist Church Fernandina Beach, 1600 S. 8th Street and Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21 at 11AM with Rev. Jeff Overton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Chester cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, Jacksonville, 904-714-1110.
