Larry Wayne Bacle Sr. Obituary
BACLE Larry Wayne Bacle, Sr., age 67, of Jacksonville, passed away on March 18, 2014, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Benning, Georgia, Larry grew up in Geneva, GA. He served in the United States Navy for twenty years, retiring as a Senior Chief Machinist Mate in 1984. Following his honorable discharge, Larry relocated from Hampton, VA, to Jacksonville, FL, where he worked for the Civil Service at Kings Bay Naval Base, until retiring in the early 2000's. During his retirement, Larry enjoyed woodworking, and has blessed all of his family members, and many friends, with his creations. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Samuel Bacle; and two brothers, Leonard Willis Bacle and Nathan Clay Bacle. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Bacle of Jacksonville; a son, Larry Wayne Bacle, Jr., of Knoxville, GA; a daughter, Melanie Leigh Thompson, and her husband, Alvin Dwayne, of Hinesville, GA; a sister, Cecelia Vallerie Hart of Oxford, GA; brothers, David Lawrence Bacle, and his wife, Jane, of Woodbury, GA; Robert James Bacle, and his wife, Brenda, of Thomaston, GA; and Thomas Gerald Bacle of Corpus Christi, TX; twin sister and brother, Sandra K. Kelley of Columbus, GA, and Sandy Ray Bacle, and his wife, Vickie, of Thomaston, GA; and grandchildren, Ashleigh Thompson, Gannen Thompson and Brandi Bacle. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Eby officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation, beginning at 1:00 p.m., will take place before the funeral service.
