Emily Aultman Obituary
AULTMAN Emily Aultman, a child of the light, radiated the light of Christ and the genuine love of Jesus. She was born to Al and Anita Aultman on November 30, 1994. Her older brother Damon was her best friend. She was independent, determined, kind, and full of life. She was baptized at 8 years old. Wise beyond her years, her mature nature made her the perfect babysitter to many lucky children. She loved music and was enthusiastically involved in youth group, acolytes, Dynamos and Young Life. Her heart for missions developed early, and in 2008 she went on her first mission trip to Honduras when she was just 13. She didn t wait for long distance trips to serve the poor and those in need, volunteering countless hours in her community. In 2012, she graduated from Orange Park High School number 14 in her class and was selected as a Super Senior by the faculty. She was a student at the University of Florida. She was proud and excited to be a part of the Gator Nation and to be graduating Spring 2015. The summer after high school graduation she served on the work crew at Young Life s Trail West Lodge in Colorado. Her experience there led her to serve as a Young Life leader to high school students in Gainesville. She was part of the Gainesville High School Young Life leadership team and supported the students she mentored. She took girls to Young Life camp to point them towards Jesus. Her love of mission work continued in college where she traveled to Haiti in the summers of 2013 and 2014 to help build houses, visit orphanages, and spend time with kids. Emily s life was all about loving people; her light will continue to bless all who knew her. Funeral services for Emily will be held 2PM Monday, July 28, 2014 at New Grace Church, 5804 U.S. 17, Fleming Island, FL with Father Mike Webb officiating. A visitation for Emily will be held Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2PM-5PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Young Life Gainesville Camp Scholarship fund. Checks can be made out to Young Life with Emily Aultman Memorial in the memo line and sent to Young Life Gainesville, PO Box 14791, Gainesville, FL 32604.
