Stephen H. Schanuel

SCHANUEL Stephen H. Schanuel, 81, of Buffalo, New York, and Jacksonville, Florida, born in St Louis, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth K. Martinez, daughter Lynn Young, son Jason Schanuel, son-in-law Carlos Young, and adored granddaughter Jenna Young, nieces Carolina Martinez, Marjie Kennedy, Ann Podleski, Liz Cole, Katie Brooks, Melissa Gray and Christine McCullough, and nephews John Baker and Danny McCullough. He leaves behind countless dear friends, many of whom reside in Buffalo, New York. Stephen is predeceased by his wife Joan Higashiuchi Schanuel, brother Peter Schanuel, and sisters Susan Baker and Dorothy McCullough. He was a professor and mathematician by profession and passion.
