Aaron R. Wilbur, 81, formerly of Middlebury Center, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
He was born on May 22, 1932, in Blossburg, a son of the late Lawrence and Anettie (Niles) Wilbur and was the husband of the late Phyllis J. (Cary) Wilbur, who died on April 22, 2004.
Aaron was a self-employed ornamental glass blower and a member of the Middlebury Baptist Church. He was a Korean War
veteran serving with the United States Army
Combat Corps of Engineers.
Aaron is survived by a son, Robert Wilbur of California City, Calif.; daughter, Kimberly Campbell of New Hampshire; sisters, Verna Gearhart of Jacksonville, N.C., Beryl Sawyer of Wellsboro, Bonnie Hamblin of Gaines; grandson Jason (Kristen) Wilbur of Lancaster, Calif.; great-granddaughter, Alexis Wilbur and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be on Saturday, April 19, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Calvin Cutting officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Holliday. www.carletonfh.com
