Doris J. Warriner, 88, a resident of Wellsboro, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Green Home in Wellsboro.
She was the wife of the late Harry B. Warriner, who preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2006. Doris was born in York, July 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Philip Henry and Sarah Elizabeth (Glaze) Amig. On March 17, 1945, Harry and Doris were married at the First United Methodist Church, in Wellsboro.
Doris was a homemaker who devoted her time as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who selflessly loved and cared for her family. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro.
Doris is survived by two sons, Larry Warriner (Pamela) of Mansfield, Harland "Rick" Warriner (Marla) of Shinglehouse, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many cousins in York.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Philip Amig and Sarah Pifer; husband, Harry; her son, Philip J. Warriner; and daughter, Paula McChesney.
Friends and Family are invited to Doris' Life Celebration, Tuesday May 27, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Committal Service to follow at 3 p.m., at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St. Wellsboro.
