Dorotha Carson Kitlinski, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, on July 29, 2013.
She was the wife of Felix T. Kitlinski, who preceded her in death. Dorotha was born on May 30, 1925, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Orlando and Frances Blair Carson.
A graduate of Penn State University; she was a health and physical education teacher in Harrisburg. Dorotha was a member of the Paxton United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. She was a member of Wives of Professional Engineers, she was also a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Dorotha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family. She and her husband Felix were faithful supporters of Hospice of Central PA, as reflected in the naming of the Felix T. and Dorotha C. Kitlinski Community Caring Center.
Surviving are her daughter, Kaye Carson Kitlinski; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip Carson Kitlinski (Linda) and Blair Carson Kitlinski (Luann); granddaughter, Sophia Frances Kitlinski; brother, James B. Carson; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Dorotha's Life Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Wellsboro United Methodist Church, Queen and Main Sts., Wellsboro. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Val Rommel officiating. Burial will be in Shumway Hill Cemetery.
