Dwight A. Bronson, Sr., 85, of Wellsboro, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home.
Born on Oct. 6, 1927, in Lindley, N.Y., he was the son of the late Willard and Maybelle Whitmore Bronson. He was married to Veta Bartholomew who preceded him in death.
Mr. Bronson was a veteran
of World War II
having served with the United States Army
. Dwight was formerly employed at Corning Glass Works. In addition he was an automobile mechanic in the Mansfield area for many years.
Surviving are six children, Dwight A. (Cathy) Bronson, Jr., of Mansfield, Cindy Mae (Steve) Davis of Bath, Pa., Chester W. (Sandy) Bronson of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Kim Scott Bronson of Wellsboro, Tina Marie Bronson of Covington, Tammy Jean (James) Oldham of Wellsboro, 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Pauline Clark of Milton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, William Eugene Bronson; one grandson, Todd Christopher Bronson; two sisters, Corabelle Frost, Katie English and one brother, Adrian Bronson.
Friends and family are invited to Dwight's Life Celebration on Thursday, April 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro.
