Eddie Milinski died on Nov. 26, 2012 in Houston, Tex.
Eddie was born in Powell, Pa., Dec. 23, 1917 to Casper and Antoinette Milinski.
He married Joette Dailey in February 1943.
Joette and Eddie lived in Elkland until 2004, when they moved to Houston, Tex. to be close to their son and his family.
Eddie served overseas in the Army during the Second World War and worked in the Elkland Tannery for 35 years. When the tannery closed, he went to work for the Corning Glass Company and retired from there after ten years.
Eddie was very active in the Elkland Volunteer Fire Department and was the treasurer for over 50 years, a position that he took very seriously. He also served on the Elkland Town Council and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Eddie was predeceased by both of his parents, and Joette Milinski, his wife of 68 years.
He is survived by his son Edward Milinski and wife, Sandy; grandchildren, Allyson Atchley, Brian Milinski and step-grandson, Richard Leonard; great-grandchildren, Samantha Atchley, Alexis Atchley, and Samuel Milinski; and step-grandchildren, Braden Leonard and Sarah Solis.
A memorial service was held in the Chapel at Clarewood House in Houston, Tex. on Nov. 29.
Eddie will be greatly missed by his family and all of his friends.
