Eleanor L. Wetherbee, 87, of Sumner Road, Mansfield, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Green Home.
She was the wife of Llewellyn (Dick) Wetherbee who preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1975.
Eleanor was the daughter of the late Francis and Blanche (Kennedy) Lawton, born on April 29, 1926, in Delmar Township. She was raised by Faye Lawton and was a graduate of Wellsboro High School.
Eleanor was retired as tax collector for Delmar Township. She was a past member of Miranda Rebekah Lodge, Stony Fork, and the Stony Fork Grange.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerald and Marilyn Wetherbee and her daughter, Linda W. Knowlton, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Karen Knowlton-Forney (Scott) of Red Lion, Jodi Knowlton-Martin (Bryan) of Keeling, Va., Amanda Keck (Jeremy) of Mansfield, Rebekah VanDergrift (Jason) of Wellsboro, Jeremy Wetherbee (Natasha) of Monroeton; four great-grandchildren, Jacob VanDergrift, Joseph VanDergrift, Maddie Keck and Adrien Wetherbee.
No visitation, a private graveside service will be held at West Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eleanor's name to the .
