Genevieve I. Nobles, 88, of Wellsboro, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013.
She was the wife of Harry E. Nobles who preceded her in death March 28, 1993. Genevieve was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Anuel and Helen Marshall Clark.
She was a member and past secretary of Stony Fork Baptist Church. Genevieve was Leader of the Tops, Inc #1205, 6th Degree member of Stony Fork Grange #1033, Past Noble Grand and member of Marinda Rebekah Lodge #107, Past District Deputy President of the District #19 Rebekah Lodge and Past President of Central PA Odd Fellows & Rebekah Association, and currently serving on Delmar Township Variance Board.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Duane Warriner, Dawn A. and Steven Besse; sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Paula Nobles, Jesse and Stella Nobles; Dale and Tina Nobles, all of Wellsboro, David and Tracy Nobles , of Lawrenceville; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Genevieve was preceded in death by two sisters, June Woodhouse, Nada Wilson; two brothers, Arnold L. Clark, Anuel (Jake) Clark.
Friends and family are invited to Genevieve's Life Celebration on Thursday Sept. 12, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home,"139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Friday Sept. 13, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Crumb officiating. Burial will be in West Branch Cemetery.
