Harold D. Frith, 87, of North East, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his residence in North East.
Harold was born on July 6, 1925 in Galeton, a son of the late Don and Marion Fegley Frith.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Erie and St. Marys Catholic Church in Georgetown, S.C. Harold worked for 42 years for National Fuel and retired in 1990 as vice president of National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Radio Relay League and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Frith, in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Rita L. Frith; one son, Michael Frith and his wife, Ellen, Livonia, Mich.; one daughter, Rebecca Koepf and her husband, Daniel, Rocky Hill, Conn.; two step sons, Gayle Chojnacki and his wife, Rita, and Glenn Chojnacki all of Erie; one step daughter, Candice Yount and her husband, Ronnie, Ashville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Sean Frith and his wife, Cyndi, and Meghan Matta and her husband, Sam, both of Austin, Tex.; Sara Csaszar and her husband, Gregory, Newtown, Conn.; 4 great-grandchildren; two favorite nephews, Alan Frith and his wife, Martha, Galeton; John Frith and his wife, Margaret, Greensburg, Pa.; his best friend, Don Triana and his wife, Mary, North East, Pa.
Private memorial services and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton.
