HARRY L. COBB(1928-2013)

Harry L. Cobb, 85, of Wellsboro, passed away at his home, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
He was the husband of Nancy Covert, whom he married on Dec. 14, 1995. Harry was born March 3, 1928, in Westfield Township, the son of the late Leroy S. and Chloe Loucks Cobb.
He was formerly employed by Borden Food Products, Wellsboro, having retired in 1990. Harry was a member of First Baptist Church, Wellsboro, and a member of Mansfield VFW. He was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Connie Cobb of Millerton; daughter, Edna Cobb of Wellsboro; step-son, Freeman Covert of Arkport, N.Y.; step-daughter, Robin Palmer of Wellsboro; 13 step-grandchildren, Brianna (Tyler) Gilmore, Jessica, Mikayla, Palmer-Bacon, Jaime, Emma, Palmer, Kyla Covert, Chris Putalavage, Daron Butcavage, Brendon Steigerwalt, Jack and Glenn Isaacson, Shelly (Chris) Ogden, Misty (Mark) Pettit; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews he took in as his own, Garry (Betty) Gulliver, Beverly (Robert) Baker, George (Dori) Gulliver, Judy (Kenneth) Romphf, Philip, (Kim) Gulliver. Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Cobb; brother, Cleon Cobb; sisters, Mildred Monk, Gladys Mack, Clara Spencer, Laraina Clay.
Friends and family are invited to Harry's Life Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Friday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey McCleary officiating. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery with full military honors.
