Jane Ann Wood, 76, died on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Broad Acres Nursing Home.
She was the wife of Leo Wood, who preceded her in death. Jane was the daughter of the late William J. and Lucille (Scase) Taylor. She was born July 11, 1937, in Antrim.
Jane was a graduate of Wellsboro High School. She worked in the laundry department at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital before retiring. Jane was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wellsboro.
She is survived by her brother and sister- in-law, Thomas and Muriel Taylor of Wellsboro; special niece, Frances (Edwin) "Mattison" Vetter of Wellsboro; five nieces and their spouses, Debra and Samuel Wilson, Pam and Rick Roe, all of Wellsboro, Susan and Kerry Heist of Blandon, Nancy and Joel Downey of Kokomo, Ind., Tom and Jennifer Taylor of Troy; nephew, Mike Taylor of Hummelstown; many more nieces and nephews; two grand-nephews, Timothy Short (Mary) of Westery, R.I. Todd Short (Melissa) of Montgomery. Friends and family are invited to Jane's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 5, from 10 to 11 a.m., memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with the Rev Canon Gregory Hinton and Pastor Keith Williams, officiating. Burial will be in Middlebury Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Jane's name to Southern Care Hospice, 1544 E. Third St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
