Kenneth J. Priset, Sr., 79, of Marsh Creek Road, Wellsboro, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Broad Acres.
He was the husband of Harriet Perry whom he married on May 27, 1956. Kenneth was born on Dec. 15, 1933, on the family farm in Marsh Creek, the son of the late Frederick John and Elizabeth Mary Hittle Priset.
He was a farmer, having been employed by Wellsboro Agway, Wilson Supply, Reforestation Program and a canned milk truck driver for Borden's. Kenneth enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed participating in softball games.
In addition to his wife, Harriet, he is survived by his sons, William (Ethel) Priset, Kenneth Priset, Jr., Stephen Priset, all of Wellsboro; daughter, Amy Beard (Robert Miller) of North Towanda Township; sister, Ruth Mitchell of Horseheads, N.Y.; three grandsons; nine granddaughters and 15 great-grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina; son, Gregory; three brothers, John, Joseph and Oscar; and six sisters, Dorothy, Mary, Viola, Alice, Betty and Geraldine.
Friends and family are invited to Kenneth's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 27, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will follow at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Duane Priset officiating. Memorials may be sent to Harriet for distribution.
