Michael Lynn Reimann, 53, beloved husband, father, son and brother, resident of Middlebury Center, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Born on Oct. 26, 1959, to Dick and Evelyn Reimann, he spent his early years in Knoxville, with his brother, Craig Reimann and graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School. He then attended Elmira College graduating with a BA in accounting and subsequently earning his CPA. As a partner in Allen, Rogers & Osgood CPAS, of Troy, he was highly regarded by his colleagues and clients alike.
He married the love of his life, Jill Vroman Reimann in 1984 and they welcomed daughter Jenavieve Lynn Reimann in 1997. They were married for 29 years.
Michael's love of music was demonstrated through his trumpet. In high school he won a place in District and Regional Bands. A great fan of Maynard Ferguson he spoke fondly of actually meeting him at one of his concerts. Michael loved skiing, camping, boating, was a NASCAR fan and a true Corvette Man.
He leaves behind wife Jill Reimann; daughter, Jenavieve Lynn Reimann; parents, Evelyn and Dick Reimann and brother, Craig Reimann. His extended family includes Bob Reimann of Knoxville, Larry and Sandra Steadman, also of Knoxville, Richard and Irma Hastings of Minneapolis, Minn.; David and Mary Tuttle of Rochester, N.Y., William and Mary Flynn of Seneca Falls, N.Y., George and Sheila Flynn of Elkland, and Velvet Avery of Osceola.
Friends and family are invited to Michael's Life Celebration on Sunday, March 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Monday, March 18, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastors Tom Shatto and Roger Wagner, officiating. Burial will be in Knowlton Cemetery.
