NORMAN R. SHEARER(1929-2013)

Norman R. Shearer, 84 of Wellsboro, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 11, 1929, in Hummelstown, a son of Christian and Laura (Leber) Shearer. Norman celebrated 65 years of marriage to Lois J. (Clare) Shearer on June 29, 2013.
He was employed at the Hershey Chocolate Factory for 44 years retiring as production supervisor.Norman was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro, the Nessmuk Gun Club, lifetime member of the N.R.A., and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, hiking and camping.
Norman is survived by his wife, Lois of Wellsboro; two daughters, Julie Shearer of Harrisburg, Tracey Lynne (Bryan) Moses of Woonsocket, R.I.; a son, Andrew David (Kim) Shearer of Hershey; grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Caitlin, Andrea, Kristina; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Keely, Nick and Dayton. He was predeceased by two sons, Stephen Michael Shearer in 1948, Norman Christian Shearer in 1953; 10 brothers and sisters.
Services will be private with the Rev. Glen Hallead officiating. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
