Rosemarie N. Emily Cannata, 82, of Covington, died peacefully Monday, March 25, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosemarie was born March 9, 1931 in Newark, N.J., a daughter of Elmer and Savina (Moia) Nafey. She was the wife of James F. Cannata and celebrated 63 years of marriage on June 25, 2012.
Rosemarie was a retired switchboard operator for New Jersey Bell and Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J. She also worked for Silver Burdett, a manufacturer of text books. Rosemarie enjoyed driving horses and mules, cats, and gardening. She loved her grandchildren very much, and her bright red cardinals.
Rosemarie is survived by her husband, James; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Cannata, Jr. of Bozeman, Mont.; a daughter, Linda Cannata of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren, Emma (Chris)Kelner and Sam Cannata.
In keeping with Rosemarie's wishes, services will be private. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the , 1948 E. Third St.,Williamsport, Pa. 17701. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, is assisting the family.
