Wallace H. Copp, 79, of Asaph Run Road, Wellsboro, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Flodie Davis whom he married on Sept. 24, 1955.
Wallace was born June 29, 1933, in Wellsboro, the son of the late Fay L. and Emma Knaus Copp. He was employed by Corning Glass in Corning, N.Y., where he retired from in 1998, as a maintenance worker. Wallace was an Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War
. He loved to be out on the road, enjoying his motorcycle. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
In addition to his wife, Wallace is survived by his brother, Ben Copp; sister, Bernice Abplanalp; six children, Stephen and Paula, Wallace and Linda, Paul and Barb, Martin and JoElla Copp, Cindi and Clifford Fultz, Brenda and Elroy Thompson; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Chrissi (Chris), Joshua (Shari), Daryl (Kim), Ashley (Jeremy), Christopher (Megan), Alysha, Chelsea, Tiffany (John), Cody (Missy), Courtney; 11 great-grandchildren, Haily, Gavin and Weston Copp, Christopher Hume, Aspenn and Cassidy Thomas, Aiden Thompson, Jason Baker, Logan and Cheyenne Niles, Dylan Alexander. Wallace was preceded in death by a brother, Duke Copp.
Friends and family are invited to Wallace's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 13, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., ""A Life Celebration Home,"" 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will follow at 5 p.m., with Pastor John Abernathy officiating. Burial will be at Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
